History and Development of Jurnal Ekonomi Pembangunan (JEP)

  1. First Publication and Print Version
Jurnal Ekonomi Pembangunan (JEP) was first published with the ISSN: 2302-9595 (starting from Volume 1, Issue 1, on December 5, 2012) in a print format. This marked the beginning of the journal's journey as a platform for disseminating research and scholarly articles in the field of development economics. The print version laid the foundation for JEP's commitment to advancing knowledge and fostering academic discourse.

  2. Transition to Online Journal System (OJS) in 2018
In 2018, JEP underwent a significant transformation by adopting the Online Journal System (OJS), a digital platform that streamlined the submission, review, and publication processes. This shift to an online system allowed the journal to reach a broader audience and enhance its accessibility. Additionally, JEP established a regular publication schedule, releasing three issues per year (triannual) to ensure consistent and timely dissemination of research findings.

  3. Introduction of a New Template in 2019
In 2019, JEP introduced a new and improved template to enhance the readability, professionalism, and visual appeal of its publications. The updated template reflects the journal's dedication to maintaining high editorial standards and providing a user-friendly experience for both authors and readers. The new template can be accessed and viewed on the journal's official website.

  4. Acquisition of e-ISSN in 2020
In 2020, JEP achieved another milestone by obtaining an e-ISSN: 2721-6071 from the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI). This electronic International Standard Serial Number (e-ISSN) was assigned to Volume 8, Issue 1, marking the journal's official recognition in the digital academic landscape. The e-ISSN further solidified JEP's credibility and expanded its reach to a global audience, ensuring its content was indexed and accessible through various academic databases and platforms.
